Terms of Service
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These terms cover your use of readyliteracy.com and the Ready Literacy course and practice tools (the "Service"). The Service is run by ReadyOne Tech Ventures, LLC, a Kansas limited liability company, 13921 Mackey Street, Overland Park, KS 66223 ("ReadyOne," "we," "us"). By creating an account, buying access, or accepting a seat, you agree to these terms.
1. Who can use the Service
The Service is for adult educators and school leaders. You must be at least 18 to create an account. Do not enter information about your students.
2. What you can buy
Teacher license: $119. One person gets access to the Science of Reading course, the Praxis 7002 practice test, the AI tutor, and their own progress record.
School pack: $999 for 10 teacher seats. Principals and district administrators can buy one or more packs. The buyer assigns seats by email and can see the progress of teachers who join their school.
Prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include sales tax. If tax applies, it is shown at checkout before you pay.
3. How long access lasts
Access lasts 12 months or until the end of July 1, 2028 (Central Time), whichever comes first.
- For a teacher license, the 12 months start when your payment is confirmed.
- For a school seat, the 12 months start when the teacher accepts the invitation.
If you buy, or accept a seat, less than 12 months before July 1, 2028, your access will be shorter than 12 months.
4. When access begins
A teacher license is active as soon as your payment is confirmed, usually within seconds. School seats are added to the buyer's account as soon as payment is confirmed. An invited teacher's access begins when they accept the invitation.
5. School packs and seats
- The buyer controls the seats in the packs they bought. Seats are not shared with other principals at the same school.
- Inviting a teacher reserves one seat until the teacher accepts or the buyer cancels the invitation.
- A seat goes back to the buyer if the teacher has not started the course or the practice test. Once a teacher has started either one, the seat is used and cannot be moved to someone else. That teacher keeps their access until it ends, even if they leave the school.
- A buyer may assign one of their own seats to themselves.
- If you already have an account, you join a school only after you accept the invitation.
- When you join a school, the buyer who invited you can see your name, email, course progress, quiz scores, and practice test results.
6. What the course does and does not do
The course helps Kansas educators prepare for the exam pathway of the Kansas Science of Reading requirement. Buying or finishing the course does not by itself meet the requirement or award a Kansas credential or license. The Kansas State Department of Education sets the requirement and can change it. ReadyOne is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Kansas State Department of Education. The Praxis 7002 exam is run by ETS. ReadyOne is not affiliated with ETS. We do not promise that you will pass any exam or earn any credential.
7. AI tutoring
The course includes AI tutoring and AI explanations. AI answers can be wrong. Check important points against the course materials and official sources. Do not put personal information or information about students into the AI tutor.
8. Your account
Keep your sign-in private. Each license or seat is for one person. Do not share your account or resell access. You are responsible for activity on your account.
9. Acceptable use
Do not copy, resell, or publish the course content. Do not try to break into the Service, overload it, or scrape it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close an account for breaking these terms, no refund is owed.
10. Our content
ReadyOne owns the course content, practice questions, and software. Your license lets you use them for your own professional learning while your access lasts.
11. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Your card statement will show READYLITERACY. Refunds follow our Refund Policy at readyliteracy.com/refunds/.
12. Changes to the Service
We may update the course and the site. If we stop offering the course before your access ends, we will refund the unused part of what you paid, figured by days remaining.
13. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond what these terms say.
14. Limit on liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages.
15. Governing law
Kansas law governs these terms. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Johnson County, Kansas.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new date at the top. If a change is significant, we will email account holders. Using the Service after a change means you accept it.
